Hot Wheels Infinite Rush arrives on Switch 2 in September

The publisher announced that Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 in September and will include a new open-world mode alongside expanded gameplay options for the racing series.

The open-world mode is described as a continuous environment where players can drive freely between challenges, discover hidden races and stunts, and move from one event to another without loading separate tracks.

The game will keep Hot Wheels’ miniature collectible vehicles and arcade-style racing while adding open-world objectives and progression systems. The developer plans to fold traditional time trials, stunt challenges and looped race courses into the open environment so players can switch between short-form races and longer exploration sessions.

The release targets owners of Nintendo’s next console as it reaches wider retail availability. Publisher comments noted the Switch 2’s stronger processing and graphics compared with the previous hardware, and the port is being reworked to fit a handheld-console hybrid with improved performance potential and higher visual detail.
