Hot Wheels Infinite Rush trailer shows deep car customization

Milestone and Mattel released a trailer that outlines campaign progression, four explorable islands, a four-car Rush Squad system and sticker, livery and audio customization tools.

Milestone and Mattel released the second episode of their Beyond The Tracker series, a trailer that details Hot Wheels Infinite Rush’s campaign, open areas and customization systems. The video focuses on gameplay mechanics and the tools players can use to modify vehicles and audio.

The trailer shows four distinct islands with open spaces and linked challenge areas. Players will encounter free-roam activities across the islands and can use sky-jumping to move between zones and access new tasks. The campaign challenges players to defeat rival crews as they advance through missions to become the Rush Master.

Central to the game is the Rush Squad System. Players must assemble a four-vehicle team with one car from each class and can switch between vehicles during a run. The four classes are Drifters, Speeders, Titans and Versatiles. Drifters recharge boost through drifting and are suited to tight corners. Speeders gain speed and regenerate boost on long straights. Titans focus on raw power and include unique boost-management mechanics. Versatiles are balanced options for general situations.

The trailer highlights vehicle appearance and audio customization. Editors let players apply and edit stickers and liveries, change wheel designs and adjust visual boost effects. Audio options allow alteration of boost and dash sounds. Customization choices can be applied across the four vehicles in a player’s Rush Squad so each car can have distinct visual and audio settings.

Milestone and Mattel present the episode as an extended look at the systems that govern races and exploration in the game, following an earlier episode that detailed the maps. The footage emphasizes both competitive progression through crew battles and optional activities and collectibles scattered across the islands.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is scheduled to launch on September 10, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition will receive Early Access beginning September 7.
