Ingrid is final World Tour update for Street Fighter 6

Capcom confirmed Ingrid will be the last character to receive new World Tour story content; previously added World Tour content will remain playable.

Capcom posted on X that Ingrid will be the final Street Fighter 6 character to receive additional World Tour story content upon release, and that previously added World Tour content will remain playable.

In the post Capcom wrote: “Please note that Ingrid will be the final character to receive additional World Tour story content upon release. Previously added World Tour content will remain playable.”

World Tour is Street Fighter 6’s single-player campaign mode. Since the game’s launch, Capcom added new World Tour storylines and quests with each post-launch character, allowing players to learn the moves of the game’s Masters, interact with those characters and unlock alternate outfits such as Outfit 2.

Reaction from players and community figures was largely disappointed. Fighting game influencer Rooflemonger wrote on social media: “Like I know I’m one of the few who engaged with it but that’s a huge bummer what the hell man? If you are cutting World Tour, there better be more characters per season if you are freeing up resources.” Other players noted they enjoyed completing the World Tour quests added with past DLC releases.

Capcom’s post does not rule out all future World Tour content, but it indicates the company will not add character-specific World Tour story content for characters released after Ingrid. Some observers expect Capcom to outline Season 4 plans at upcoming events next week, including PlayStation’s State of Play or Summer Game Fest.

Players will retain access to the existing World Tour quests. Capcom did not specify what types of content it will add to future seasonal updates beyond character releases.
