IO Interactive’s 007 First Light tops 3 million sales

IO Interactive says 007 First Light has sold over 3 million copies worldwide and will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 later this summer.

IO Interactive reported that 007 First Light has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide, exceeding the studio’s internal forecasts. The company also confirmed a Nintendo Switch 2 version is due later this summer.

The studio added that sales are “tracking well above our forecasts at this point.” Player interest has been strong since the game’s launch and contributed to the higher-than-expected total.

IO Interactive plans to optimize the Switch 2 edition for the console’s hardware. The company did not give a specific release date beyond confirming the port will arrive later this summer.

CEO Hakan Abrak described the results as “freaking successful” and said he was “feeling absolutely amazing,” noting the outcome surpasses the studio’s initial targets.

007 First Light is an action-focused James Bond title that drew positive attention from players. IO Interactive has not published a regional or platform breakdown for the sales figure; the number reflects global purchases across the platforms where the game is available.
