IO Interactive’s 007: First Light sells 1.5M on day one

IO Interactive reported that 007: First Light sold more than 1.5 million copies in the first 24 hours after the game’s March 2026 launch. The studio confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 edition will follow later this summer.

The publisher attributed the fast sales to a mix of pre-orders, positive early reviews and the franchise’s broad appeal. IO Interactive said the figure reflects initial consumer demand across the platforms included in the launch.

Pre-orders began before release and the developer planned a staggered rollout across platforms. The Switch 2 release will be distributed as a Game‑Key Card, a physical card that contains a digital key rather than the full game data. Players who buy the card must download the remainder of the game after redeeming the key.
