IO Interactive to Remaster Three Hitman Games for Xbox in 2027

IO Interactive announced plans to remaster three earlier Hitman games and release the updated versions on Xbox consoles in 2027. The Copenhagen-based studio will lead the development work and manage the Xbox release schedule.

The studio is the developer and owner of the Hitman intellectual property and has directed the series since its inception. The remasters are listed among the company’s planned releases for the coming years, with development and testing continuing ahead of the 2027 launch window.

The announcement did not identify which three games will be remastered or how they will be packaged. IO Interactive did not confirm whether the titles will appear on platforms beyond Xbox or be included in subscription services.

IO Interactive retained full control of the franchise after separating from its former publisher and has continued to develop new Hitman content and related projects.
