IO Interactive details TacSim roadmap for 007 First Light

Chief development officer Véronique Lallier outlined a post-launch TacSim roadmap adding remixed levels, new challenges and a public update schedule.

IO Interactive will support 007 First Light after release with a TacSim roadmap that adds remixed levels, new challenges and a public update schedule. Chief development officer Véronique Lallier outlined the plan and indicated the developer will publish the roadmap in the weeks following launch.

TacSim repackages the game’s main levels into new scenarios with distinct objectives and challenges. The mode provides a secondary way to play separate from the main campaign. Content under the TacSim program will arrive after launch and follow a publicly shared schedule.

Lallier referenced IO Interactive’s history of extended post-release support for Hitman, where the studio added new mission types and themed releases over several years. She indicated the studio will use player feedback to decide which TacSim elements to expand, change or remove as the title matures.

According to Lallier: “Launching the game is just the beginning. It’s important for us to learn and listen to the feedback of the players and see how we can improve.”

Early reactions to 007 First Light reported a single-player story estimated at 10 to 15 hours and acceptable performance on current consoles. IO Interactive has not released dates or a full list of planned TacSim additions. The studio indicated additional features and gadgets could be introduced over time as part of the roadmap.

IO Interactive described the launch as the start of an ongoing update program and said the studio intends to iterate on the experience based on community feedback rather than follow a fixed slate of post-release content.
