IO Interactive upgrades PS Store pre-orders for 007 First Light
IO Interactive upgraded all PlayStation Store digital pre-orders of 007 First Light to the Deluxe Edition, enabling full PS5 play 24 hours before the game’s release.
IO Interactive upgraded all PlayStation Store digital pre-orders of 007 First Light to the Deluxe Edition at no extra cost, allowing those customers to download and play the full game on PS5 24 hours before the title’s official release. The developer, which is based in Denmark, implemented the change through the PlayStation Store listing.
The Deluxe Edition includes four outfits — Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator — a weapon skin called Agent’s Mark and a Gleaming Pack containing a lighter, earphones, a dart gun and a pen. The Deluxe Edition is normally priced at $69.99 in the United States and £59.99 in the United Kingdom.
Physical copies purchased at retail follow standard delivery schedules and should arrive on the official release day. Discs delivered early by retailers or carriers may become playable at the same time as the digital release if they reach buyers before then.
The upgrade gives digital pre-order customers the Deluxe Edition’s 24-hour early access and included cosmetic items at no additional charge. The change applies only to PlayStation Store digital pre-orders; other platforms and editions were not affected by the announcement.
A reviewer who played the game before release described 007 First Light as “highly entertaining.”
