Jak & Daxter Tops PS5 Revival Poll

An online poll of almost 3,000 PlayStation fans recently found Jak & Daxter to be the most requested franchise for a PS5 revival, receiving 468 votes, or 17.17% of responses. The survey asked participants which dormant or legacy PlayStation series they most wanted to see return on current hardware.

Sly Cooper placed second with 340 votes (12.47%), followed by Resistance at 317 votes (11.7%), Killzone with 309 votes (11.34%), and MotorStorm at 227 votes (8.33%). Votes declined after those top five entries.

Other older PlayStation franchises recorded smaller totals. Ape Escape, WipEout and Gravity Rush received measurable support. Patapon drew seven votes while Hot Shots Golf received 43 votes.

Sony has been linked in reports to plans for reviving legacy intellectual property, and inFAMOUS has been mentioned as a possible remake candidate. The poll provides a snapshot of fan interest in specific series as discussions about revivals continue.

Within the Jak & Daxter series, The Precursor Legacy remains the most popular entry among fans. Naughty Dog explored a more realistic approach to the franchise during the period it was developing The Last of Us but did not pursue that concept.

The poll indicates interest among respondents in bringing dormant PlayStation series back to current platforms and gives publisher decision-makers data on which franchises a segment of the fanbase prioritizes.
