Jakks Expands Super Mario Galaxy Toys Bowser Jr. Pre-Order May 15

Jakks Pacific is expanding its Super Mario Galaxy movie toy line and will open pre-orders for the Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. feature figure on May 15, 2026. The company plans to release additional figures, playsets and retail exclusives in fall 2026.

Jakks Pacific described the Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. as “Standing over 8 inches tall, Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. delivers dynamic, action-packed fun with 13 points of articulation and a signature chomping motion activated by pushing his shell forward. The figure also includes a multi-head paint brush with swappable tips including a brush, axe, mace and arrowhead, allowing fans to recreate epic battle moments. A water-reveal feature brings added interactivity, as users can use the brush tip to reveal ink splatter effects again and again.” Pre-orders for the figure open May 15, 2026.

The fall lineup expands beyond Bowser Jr. and will include a Mario Riding Yoshi feature figure sold as a Walmart exclusive. Premium figures with accessories are planned for Flying Mario, Cloud Luigi, Princess Peach and Bowser. Jakks lists a Deluxe Wonder Bowser Jr., a planet playset that includes a mini Bowser Jr. and his Clown Car, and a Minus World diorama that comes with exclusive Mini Wart and Penguin Toad figures. The company also plans mini-scale figures of Flying Mario, Cloud Luigi and Rosalina, pull-back vehicles including a Walmart-exclusive Bowser Jr. in Clown Car and a Yoshi on Motorcycle, and 9-inch plush versions of Flying Mario, Cloud Luigi and Rosalina. Jakks notes the Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. feature figure will be a Target and Smyths exclusive in the fall assortment.

Jakks has not released final ship dates for the fall items. Pricing and detailed availability for each exclusive are expected closer to their release windows and will be announced by the company and participating retailers.

Jakks has already produced several products tied to the Super Mario Galaxy movie. The movie’s digital 4K and Blu-ray home releases have been confirmed; further details will come from the studio and retailers.
