Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth expansion launches June 16

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth adds a prequel campaign on Île Saint-Hubert and arrives on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC on June 16.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth, the largest expansion to date for Frontier Developments’ park-management game, adds a new campaign set on Île Saint-Hubert and launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC on June 16.

The expansion places players in charge of three secret research sites-Ancient Valley, Riverside Laboratory and the Main Facility-with tasks that include experimental breeding, containment and site-specific objectives tied to the film’s backstory. The campaign is set before the prologue of the film Jurassic World Rebirth and includes moments that reference scenes from the movie.

Players work as regular island staff rather than high-level directors. Duties include breeding large species, testing experimental genetic traits and re-containing escaped hybrids. New mechanics introduced in Rebirth include highly experimental dinosaur traits and a Geothermal Power feature linked to infrastructure and engineering tasks.

Ian Bousher, senior game writer, said: “This expansion pack takes place before the prologue scene in Jurassic World Rebirth, where fans were first introduced to the Distortus rex.” He noted the expansion explores why the island’s research was kept secret and that some missions are designed to explain events and imagery seen in the film, such as the Titanosaurus herd.

The Riverside Laboratory level asks players to test predator-prey interactions by releasing Parasaurolophus into an enclosure to observe a T. rex hunt. The Main Facility begins with an action-driven opening cutscene that mirrors the film’s prologue and includes a containment mission involving a Mutadon hybrid, described as part velociraptor and part pterosaur. Frontier says the Ancient Valley draws on the film’s Titanosaurus scenes and expands on the island ruins shown in the movie.

New characters introduced in the campaign include Callie, a dinosaur behaviorist focused on genetics and ecology; Dale, an engineer involved with infrastructure and the Geothermal Power system; and Lily Halford, who returns in an earlier role as the island’s director of operations. The expansion positions these characters at the player’s level to create an informal workplace dynamic.

The base game remains available on Game Pass. Frontier lists more than 85 prehistoric species in the core title, with 75 species supporting breeding and multi-generational care. The main game also offers expanded terrain editing, a modular scenery system, an Island Generator for procedurally varied maps, and cross-platform sharing through the Frontier Workshop.

Rebirth will be released June 16 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. The expansion adds new narrative missions and technical systems to the existing park-management mechanics, linking in-game activity to events depicted in the film.
