Kabuto Park is a bug-collecting game developed by Doot and published on Nintendo Switch by Seaven Studio. The game will appear on the Nintendo eShop on May 28 with a price of $5.99 in the US and £4.99 in the UK.

Players take the role of children spending a summer catching and cataloging insects. Caught insects can be assembled into teams of “battle bugs” and used in straightforward combat against friends and in-game rivals. Typical playthroughs are reported to take around two to four hours, with short sessions and simple mechanics.

The game first launched on Steam last year. The Switch edition will be distributed digitally on the eShop, and a trailer for the Switch version has been released ahead of launch. Doot previously developed Minami Lane.

Early reception on PC is reflected in the Steam store, where the game holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating across more than 2,500 user reviews. User reviews mention the game’s colorful art style, wholesome atmosphere and simple combat.
