Kemuri: Ikumi Nakamura’s Demon-Slaying Action for PS5

Ikumi Nakamura’s Unseen studio announced Kemuri, an urban demon-slaying sandbox with up to three-player co-op, coming to PlayStation 5 in 2027.

Unseen, a studio led by Ikumi Nakamura, announced Kemuri, a new action game that centers on hunting demons in an urban sandbox. The studio plans to release Kemuri on PlayStation 5 in 2027. The title will support cooperative play for up to three players.

Unseen released a cinematic trailer that shows a stylized city setting and fast-paced combat against yokai-like creatures. The footage highlights distinct creature designs and combat set pieces but does not reveal mission structure, progression systems or detailed gameplay mechanics.

Nakamura previously worked at Tango Gameworks and contributed to The Evil Within series and Ghostwire: Tokyo. She is leading development at Unseen on Kemuri.

Unseen has not announced other platforms, a specific release date, technical details such as engine choice, or whether the game will include single-player narrative campaigns. The studio has confirmed only the 2027 PlayStation 5 window and three-player co-op.

Further updates from Unseen are expected to clarify gameplay systems, platform availability and a precise launch date.
