Kingdom Hearts file sizes revealed for Switch 2

Nintendo eShop lists estimated file sizes for Kingdom Hearts on Switch 2 ahead of its Oct. 8, 2026 digital release: Collection [I–III] 131GB; 1.5+2.5 54.2GB; 2.8 26.8GB; KH3+Re:Mind 45.2GB.

Nintendo eShop listings for Switch 2 show estimated download sizes for Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts titles ahead of the console’s digital launch on Oct. 8, 2026. The listings put Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III] at 131GB, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX at 54.2GB, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue at 26.8GB, and Kingdom Hearts III with the Re:Mind DLC at 45.2GB.

Square Enix announced native Switch 2 versions after previously offering cloud-only editions on the current Switch. The cloud editions have been removed from sale but will remain playable for owners until June 9, 2027. Customers who purchased the cloud versions are eligible for a discount when buying the new digital releases on Switch 2.

The Kingdom Hearts Collection will also be offered as a Game-Key Card for Switch 2, providing a physical purchase option. Nintendo’s eShop pages note the file-size figures are estimates and may change before the Oct. 8 release.

Square Enix confirmed Kingdom Hearts IV will be released for Switch 2 in the future and will arrive on the same day as versions for other platforms. The current Switch 2 listings do not include final installation sizes for future updates or additional DLC beyond the Re:Mind pack listed for KHIII.

The eShop estimates give users a baseline for storage planning on Switch 2. Exact download and install sizes could change between now and the October release due to packaging updates, compression or last-minute patches.
