Kirby Air Riders adds Sword Kirby, Noir Dedede amiibo support
Ver. 1.3.3 for Kirby Air Riders on Nintendo Switch 2 (released June 2, 2026) adds Sword Kirby (& Dragoon) and Noir Dedede (& Hydra) amiibo support and warns older replays may be incompatible.
Kirby Air Riders for Nintendo Switch 2 received update Ver. 1.3.3 on June 2, 2026. The patch adds in-game support for the Sword Kirby (& Dragoon) and Noir Dedede (& Hydra) amiibo. The official notes for the update list only the new amiibo functionality and do not mention any bug fixes, balance adjustments or other changes.
The patch notes include a replay compatibility warning. Ver. 1.3.3 may not be compatible with replays created in versions 1.3.2 through 1.3.0, and is not compatible with replays from Ver. 1.2.0 and earlier. Players who want to preserve older replays are instructed to convert them to video files before downloading the update by selecting Record on the playback-settings screen within Cached Data and Data Replay. A microSD Express card is required to use the conversion function.
Nintendo has not announced release dates for the Sword Kirby and Noir Dedede amiibo. For reference, support for King Dedede (& Tank Star) was added in a late-February update, while that amiibo’s launch date is scheduled for July 2, 2026, a gap of roughly four months between support being added and the figure’s release.
Players who keep archived replays should check the version information in their game and back up or convert any files they want to keep before installing Ver. 1.3.3 to avoid losing access to those replays.
