Konami’s Rev Noir RPG gets 2027 release window

Konami confirmed Rev Noir, developed by ILCA’s Tokyo team, will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2027; no firm date, price or gameplay details announced.

Konami confirmed Rev Noir, an original role-playing game developed by ILCA’s Tokyo team, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2027. The company says the title is in active development and provided only a release year.

The game centers on a phenomenon called Lightfall that kills anything it touches and on a period referred to as the Lightfall Season. The narrative follows a young protagonist named Asch, who becomes involved in a wider effort to stop the phenomenon while confronting personal challenges.

Konami’s official description places the story in a world guided by a celestial entity called the Determinant and a set of astral ordinances that once maintained order. “Since ancient times, the Determinant in the heavens has guided humanity through astral ordinances intended to preserve peace,” the description states.

In the game, Asch meets Fine, a cleric who wields the Rainbow Astria, and her guard Diana in a remote village as the Lightfall Season approaches. Players will also encounter Kross, a gunner assigned by the Lysrian City Guards to serve as the group’s guide. The party pursues creatures called provitons, which are described as the believed source of the Lightfall.

Konami has not released a specific launch date, price, platform-exclusive details or descriptions of combat and progression systems. Early materials emphasize the story premise and principal characters; additional gameplay information is expected as development proceeds.

Rev Noir was first shown during a PlayStation State of Play presentation earlier this year. The publisher has presented the project as a multi-platform release for current-generation consoles and PC.
