Kong Bananza Returns DLC event runs June 9–16

Nintendo confirmed the weeklong Kong Bananza Returns event for Donkey Kong Bananza will run from June 9 through June 16. The event places players on the Canyon Layer to complete Void Kong challenges under a limited set of perks and abilities to qualify for themed rewards.

Access to the event requires ownership of the Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC. Participants must meet special Emerald Rush quotas during the event to add Tiki Kong and Tiki Goon statues to their DK Island collections. The event enforces specific limitations that reduce or alter available perks and abilities during Void Kong runs.

The event begins at 1 a.m. PDT / 2 a.m. MDT / 3 a.m. CDT / 4 a.m. EDT for North America; 9 a.m. BST for the UK and Ireland; 10 a.m. CEST and 11 a.m. EEST for continental Europe; and 5 p.m. JST, 4 p.m. AWST and 6 p.m. AEST in parts of Asia and Oceania. Coordinated Universal Time lists the start as 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Players should update their game and DLC before the start time to participate.

Kong Bananza Returns follows the recent Rattlin’ Snake Bananza event and continues the game’s cycle of time-limited DLC challenges that rotate layers, restrictions and reward themes. Previous events have awarded collectible statues and other cosmetic items for DK Island.
