Korean Ratings Suggest Black Ops, Black Ops 2 Remasters

The Korean Ratings Board recently assigned ratings to Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

The listings do not specify release dates, platforms or which game modes are included. The entries do not state whether any remasters would cover single-player content, multiplayer modes or both.

The Korean board previously rated an older Call of Duty title prior to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered in 2016.

The Xbox Game Showcase is scheduled for Sunday, June 7 at 6 p.m. UK time. The event provides a near-term opportunity for publishers to announce new or remastered releases.

Activision publishes the Call of Duty franchise and Treyarch developed the Black Ops entries. Call of Duty: Black Ops launched in 2010 and Black Ops 2 arrived in 2012. Both games include single-player campaigns and competitive multiplayer modes.

Modern Warfare Remastered, released in 2016, updated visuals on a previous-generation Call of Duty game and was promoted alongside a new title. Remasters of shooters have varied in scope, with some preserving multiplayer content and others focusing mainly on campaign and visual upgrades.
