LEGO Batman: Legacy trailer debuts ahead of May 22
TT Games released the trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, showing Bruce Wayne’s origin, allies and villains, and gameplay ahead of the game’s May 22 launch; a Switch 2 version may follow.
TT Games released the launch trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight ahead of the game’s worldwide release on May 22. The trailer traces Bruce Wayne from his early years to his role as Gotham’s protector and highlights key characters and conflicts.
The clip pairs cinematic scenes with gameplay and uses Seal’s Grammy-winning song “Kiss from a Rose” from the Batman Forever (1995) soundtrack. It features allies including Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul, and villains such as The Joker, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Ra’s al Ghul and Bane.
The studio described the sequence as “from origin to legend.” The footage emphasizes cooperative play, set pieces that mix LEGO-style humor with darker moments from Batman’s story, and a range of environments and combat mechanics shown in gameplay clips.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is scheduled to launch worldwide on May 22. TT Games confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 edition could arrive after other platforms but did not provide a release date. The publisher has not released platform-specific timing or technical details.
The trailer provides a preview of the game’s narrative framing, character roster and visual approach. TT Games plans to release additional details on platform availability and post-launch plans ahead of May 22.
