LEGO Batman arrives on Switch 2 Sept. 18 with Mayhem DLC

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on Sept. 18. Pre-orders are open and the Mayhem Collection DLC, featuring Joker and Harley Quinn, is day-one content.

Warner Bros. Games confirmed in a trailer that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will release for Nintendo Switch 2 on Sept. 18 and opened pre-orders for the platform. The Mayhem Collection DLC will be available on day one and adds playable Joker and Harley Quinn, a new story mission and a new Mayhem Mode.

The Mayhem Collection is bundled with the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Legacy Collection extras, three-day early access and the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit. Players who pre-order the Standard Edition will receive the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit as a pre-order bonus. Pre-orders announced by the publisher apply specifically to the Switch 2 release; the game reached other platforms last month.

Legacy of the Dark Knight is an open-world LEGO game set in Gotham City. The title combines LEGO building and puzzle mechanics with a story campaign that references Batman comics and media. The cast includes voice actors such as Matt Berry, who voices Bane.

The Switch 2 date places the release in a busy September for superhero games, with another major superhero title arriving around the same time. Switch 2 owners will receive the Mayhem Collection immediately at launch and can select between the Standard and Deluxe editions depending on whether they want early access and bundled extras.
