Let It Die goes offline today; $19.99 Offline Key available

Let It Die’s online service ends today. A $19.99 Offline Key DLC on Steam and PS4 lets players play offline and transfer saves until Nov. 30, 2026.

Grasshopper Manufacture and publisher GungHo Online Entertainment ended online support for Let It Die today and released a paid Offline Key DLC for $19.99 on Steam and the PlayStation Store. The DLC converts the former free-to-play title into a standalone offline build for PC and PS4.

Publisher patch notes notified players that existing save files can be moved into the offline build. The save transfer tool will remain available until Nov. 30, 2026; after that date online saves cannot be imported into the offline version.

The game is available on PC and PS4, and remains playable on PS5 via backward compatibility where applicable. The Offline Key makes the single-player version independent of the game’s servers.

The offline update adds new equipment and quests, raises the fighter limit break cap, and adjusts enemy balance. All wait times for equipment development, store purchases and facility upgrades have been removed. Material requirements for development have been reduced by up to 75% through Tier 4.

Features that relied on online services will stop working once servers go offline. Asynchronous multiplayer elements tied to online functions are not included in the offline build. The Offline Key preserves the game’s core hack-and-slash combat and survival mechanics for solo play.

Let It Die launched on PlayStation 4 nearly a decade ago and has sold more than nine million copies worldwide. A sequel, Let It Die: Inferno, was released in 2025. The original game’s voice cast includes Jukka Hilden, Mark Hamill, Daveigh Chase, Verne Troyer and Traci Lords.

The Offline Key is available now for $19.99 on Steam and the PlayStation Store. Players who want to continue their progress offline should purchase the DLC and use the save transfer tool before Nov. 30, 2026.
