Live 2026: 10 Xbox highlights from Star Trek to Godzilla

A two-day online showcase this week presented trailers, release windows and downloadable content for games coming to Xbox Series X|S and other platforms. Developers showed new footage and detailed updates for titles across PC, PlayStation and Nintendo systems.

Star Trek: Shadow Frontier received a reveal trailer for a mature, story-driven action-adventure that follows former Lieutenant Ro Laren. The character is voiced by Michelle Forbes. The game is planned for Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; a release date has not been announced.

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered was shown with updated visuals, quality-of-life improvements, local co-op and new online multiplayer. The remaster is scheduled to launch on November 3, 2026.

RedOctane Games showcased Stage Tour in a developer spotlight. The studio, which includes veterans of the original Guitar Hero, revealed the first songs and said fans helped select the campaign setlist. Stage Tour is due on PC and consoles in fall 2026.

Bellwright received a console release trailer confirming a June 9, 2026 launch. The game centers on building settlements, recruiting villagers and leading forces in tactical combat to reclaim and develop territory.

Studio Wildcard detailed multiple additions to the ARK franchise. The company demonstrated ARK Maker, an in-game creation tool that will let players build custom maps and functional content on any platform without a separate PC or Unreal Engine knowledge. Wildcard also previewed a remake of the Genesis Part 1 expansion featuring fully simulated ocean water and offered an early look at ARK: The Animated Series Part 2, scheduled for release on a streaming platform.

Moss: The Forgotten Relic, a ground-up reimagining of the Moss VR games as a cinematic platformer, was given a July 16, 2026 release date. The title will launch on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Grounded 2 received an extended trailer for the Into The Abyss update, which will arrive on August 11, 2026 via Xbox Game Pass. The preview highlighted new threats and content for the open-world survival sequel.

Cronos: The New Dawn teased the Lazarus DLC, planned for fall 2026. The expansion focuses on combat and grants the player the Warden’s abilities, including short-range teleportation and tools to evade a pursuing hunter while recovering a lost Essence. Cronos is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

Vampire Survivors announced the Legacy of the Bloodmoon expansion, adding 12 new characters, more than 16 new weapons and evolutions, a large new stage and additional music tracks. The expansion will come to PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile; timing is to be announced.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy was shown in a narrated gameplay deep dive that explained its party-based, story-driven cRPG systems, investigative missions and tactical combat. The game is planned for PC storefronts, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The event combined remasters, expansions, new properties and creator tools, with many announced titles including Xbox Series X|S among their target systems. Several projects received specific 2026 release dates, while others were shown with trailers or developer commentary without firm windows.
