Published by Tripwire Interactive, Maneater is a single-player open-world action RPG. Players control a shark that starts as a pup and grows by hunting wildlife and humans, collecting resources and gaining new abilities.

Players can upgrade the shark beyond its natural abilities and select changes that support different play styles. The story follows the shark’s effort to take revenge on the fisherman who killed its mother.

The game includes seven regions of the Gulf, including coastal bayous, resort beaches, industrial docks and open ocean areas. Players encounter wildlife, other apex predators and human hunters, including Coast Guard members, during the story campaign.

Maneater is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB for blood and gore, drug references, intense violence, mature humor and mild language.
