Maneater for PS5 and PS4 falls to $3.99 on PS Store

Maneater, the 2020 action role-playing game from Tripwire Interactive, is on sale for $3.99 on the PlayStation Store through Thursday, Sept. 24. The price is 90% off the game’s regular $39.99 tag and applies as a cross-buy, granting access on both PS5 and PS4 with a single purchase.

The sale price is the lowest the PlayStation Store has listed for the title. The game is also available through PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Premium subscribers can stream it from the cloud as part of their subscription benefits. For players without those subscriptions, buying the $3.99 listing is the current option to own the game on PlayStation consoles.

Developed and published by Tripwire Interactive, Maneater sold more than 14 million copies across all platforms since its 2020 release. The game has been described by its publisher as an action RPG in which players begin as a small shark pup and must survive by eating their way up the food chain, exploring a large open world, facing human and wildlife enemies, collecting resources and evolving the shark for different play approaches.

Tripwire has a sequel scheduled to launch in 2027. The current discount runs through Sept. 24 and is limited to the PlayStation Store listing for the game.
