Marvel Cosmic Invasion adds Cyclops and The Thing; new mode due 2026

Cyclops and The Thing are now available in a $3.99 DLC pack for Marvel Cosmic Invasion on PS5 and PS4; developer Tribute has teased a new game mode for 2026.

Tribute added Cyclops and The Thing to Marvel Cosmic Invasion as a $3.99 downloadable bundle for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The pack is available now on PlayStation storefronts. The developer has teased a new game mode expected in 2026 but did not provide a release date.

Tribute described Cyclops as ‘the no-nonsense leader of the X-Men’ who uses kinetic energy beams. The studio noted Cyclops’ optic blasts can be fired diagonally to target aerial enemies and open attack windows.

The Thing is presented as ‘the Fantastic Four’s heaviest hitter’ with a grappling-focused, tanklike playstyle. Tribute added he pairs heavy-hitting grapples with mobility that lets him bounce across environments to close distance and control fights.

Tribute announced a second DLC pack planned for later in 2026 that will, in the developer’s words, ‘offer fresh challenges alongside even more playable characters.’ No firm dates or timetable were provided for the second pack or the teased mode.

The publisher reported Marvel Cosmic Invasion has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide since launch. Tribute has continued to release periodic content updates for the title.
