Marvel Cosmic Invasion DLC Adds Cyclops and The Thing

Dotemu and Tribute Games released a surprise $3.99 downloadable expansion today for Marvel Cosmic Invasion that adds Cyclops and The Thing as playable characters. Each character includes unique movesets, animations and in-game dialogue.

The Thing is presented as a grappling-focused powerhouse. He can grab and slam enemies and has increased mobility that lets him bounce across environments to close distance. The studio describes him as a tanklike protector who can shield allies and control space in combat.

Cyclops brings ranged offense through his signature optic blasts. His beams can be fired diagonally, providing an option against airborne enemies and ways to engage groups or single targets.

The pair is priced at $3.99 and is available now on the game’s regular digital storefronts. Dotemu and Tribute Games also announced a second wave of DLC planned for Fall 2026 that will add a new game mode and additional playable characters; specific fighters and full mode details were not disclosed.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion launched with a focus on cooperative multiplayer progression. The base game received an 8/10 review last year.
