Maverick Games to Reveal AAA Racing Title on June 2

Maverick Games, formed by former Forza Horizon 5 creative director Mike Brown and several ex-Playground Games developers, posted a YouTube countdown signaling a reveal on June 2 for a new AAA racing title. The studio has also shared playful posts on its social channels alongside the livestream.

The livestream features an image of a Fiat Multipla and runs until June 2. The studio has not specified whether the stream will include a trailer, gameplay, platform details, or a release window.

Maverick was founded about three years ago. The team previously worked with Amazon Games on the project; Amazon announced in February that it would step away from the partnership. Since then, Maverick has continued development independently and has not confirmed a new publishing partner.

June 2 coincides with a major industry broadcast from a console manufacturer. Maverick’s direct countdown indicates the studio plans to reveal the title through its own channels rather than through that broadcast.
