Mega Evolution Pokémon trails at 15 National Trust sites

The Pokémon Company and the National Trust will run self-guided “Mega Evolution” Pokémon Trading Card Game trails at 15 National Trust properties across the UK from May 23 to Sept. 6. Visitors receive a printed trail sheet at entry and are asked to spot checkpoints aligned with different Energy types along each route. The programme does not include exclusive trading cards.

Participating sites are Attingham Park (Shropshire), Belton Estate (Lincolnshire), Blickling Estate (Norfolk), Dyrham Park (Gloucestershire), Hughenden (Buckinghamshire), Kingston Lacy (Dorset), Lanhydrock (Cornwall), Quarry Bank (Cheshire), Saltram (Devon), Sizergh (Cumbria), Speke Hall (Liverpool), Rowallane Garden (County Down), Tredegar House (Newport), Wimpole Estate (Cambridgeshire) and Winkworth Arboretum (Surrey). Separately, 145 National Trust locations will provide a Pokémon TCG sticker booklet, with one of five collectible stickers available at each visit.

A number of properties will run additional Pokémon TCG-themed activities, though full schedules and details have not been published. The programme runs through late spring and summer weeks, including school holidays and weekends. National Trust staff will integrate the Pokémon materials into normal visitor routes and admissions; any extra activity times or entry requirements will follow each property’s usual public information.

The Pokémon Company has previously run public events tied to its video games and trading card game. The National Trust regularly organizes temporary themed trails and family activities at its houses, estates and gardens to provide seasonal programming for visitors.
