Mega Man: Dual Override playable at Gamescom 2026

Capcom will offer a playable build of Mega Man: Dual Override at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne from Aug. 26–30.

Capcom will make Mega Man: Dual Override playable for the first time at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne. The hands-on build will be available to attendees from August 26 through August 30 at the Capcom booth.

Capcom plans to set up around 60 demo stations in Hall 9, Booth A070 for the showing. The game currently carries a broad 2027 release window and the Gamescom demonstration is the first opportunity for the public to play the new action-platformer in person.

Capcom will bring additional titles to the event. Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will be playable, and its upcoming DLC expansion will be bundled with the main game on Switch 2 when that version launches on October 9, 2026. Onimusha: Way of the Sword will appear ahead of its September 25, 2026 release; a demo for Onimusha is available now on PlayStation 5.

The Capcom booth will host eSports activities for Street Fighter 6, offering both competitive and casual play options alongside single-player demonstrations. Capcom has confirmed a full remake of Code Veronica for Switch 2 under the title Resident Evil Veronica, with a planned 2027 release.

Attendees who want to try Mega Man: Dual Override can visit Hall 9, Booth A070 during Gamescom’s August 26–30 dates to access the playable build.
