Mina the Hollower hits Xbox Series May 29 for $19.99

Yacht Club Games confirmed that Mina the Hollower will launch on Xbox Series X and Series S on May 29. The announcement appeared in a trailer and social posts; the game’s official website did not initially list Xbox as a platform. The launch price is $19.99.

Players control Mina, a Hollower tasked with rescuing a cursed island. The top-down action-adventure centers on burrowing beneath hazards and enemies, attacking with a whip, and equipping sidearms and trinkets that modify combat and movement.

The game uses pixel-art graphics, includes boss fights and a cast of characters, and features a soundtrack composed to match the game’s pace and tone.

Design elements include exploration across varied locales, secret areas, and environmental puzzles tied to the burrowing mechanic. Encounters are built around timing and choices about when to use limited resources and equipment.

Yacht Club Games previously developed Shovel Knight, a retro-style platformer released on multiple platforms.
