Mistfall Hunter open beta free on Xbox, PC June 15–22

Mistfall Hunter’s open beta runs June 15–22 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Pre-download is available; beta progress will be wiped but select cosmetics transfer to the July 29 release.

Mistfall Hunter’s open beta is free to download on Xbox Series X|S and PC from June 15–22. Pre-download is available through the Microsoft Store for Xbox and PC; the test can also be accessed via Steam and the PlayStation Store. The developer noted the event is a data-wipe test and that cosmetic items earned during the beta will carry over to the full release only if players sign in with the same account used in the test.

In its announcement, the developer wrote: “This is an open beta. Once pre-download begins, Gyldhunters can download the test version from Steam, Xbox consoles and PC, or the PlayStation Store and join the test at any time. This is a data-wipe test. All in-game data will be deleted after the test ends. During this test, you can earn cosmetic rewards through special events that will carry over to the official release. Please note that you must use the same account to receive these rewards in the official release.”

Mistfall Hunter is a dark-fantasy PvPvE extraction action RPG set in the shattered region of Weavereach. Players take on the role of Gyldhunters who can explore corrupted zones alone or with up to two companions to fight hostile creatures, gather loot and face rival players. The game uses an extraction loop: if a Gyldhunter dies during a run they lose carried items, and survivors must find and activate extraction points such as the bell called the Soul of Return to secure their haul.

The full game is scheduled to launch on July 29 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass at release. The open beta window closes on June 22, and players can join the test while it remains active.
