MIX Summer Showcase: Xbox Game Pass, indie release dates

MIX Summer Showcase 2026 highlighted more than 60 indie games and confirmed Monsters Are Coming! on Xbox Game Pass Aug. 6 and Wild Blue Skies on Xbox Aug. 13.

The MIX Summer Showcase 2026, part of the week of Summer Game Fest presentations, highlighted over 60 indie games and confirmed release dates and platform plans for several Xbox releases. The stream delivered new trailers, demos and release windows for titles coming to consoles and PC.

Ludogram’s Monsters Are Coming! will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and on Xbox Game Pass for console on Aug. 6, 2026. The top-down bullet-hell action roguelite is already available on PC via Steam and GOG. Players defend a moving city against waves of enemies, gather resources and fortify defenses to survive increasingly difficult attacks.

Wild Blue Skies received a new trailer and a release date of Aug. 13, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. The action-adventure title, presented as a spiritual successor to Star Fox 64, follows pilot Bowie Stray and the Blue Bombers through mission-based aerial levels. The showcase did not list Xbox Game Pass availability for Wild Blue Skies.

Team Crescendo unveiled a release window for Memoria Wake, an exploration-focused souls-like puzzle Metroidvania, with a 2027 launch planned for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud and PC. Nodding Heads Games showed cinematic gameplay for Raji: Kaliyuga, a mythological third-person action-adventure slated for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC with no firm date.

Paperhead Te4m displayed a trailer for Paperhead, a fast-paced first-person “boomer shooter” mixing magical and conventional weapons, and listed a Sept. 18, 2026 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The trailer depicts combat with a magical pencil, a shotgun and other weapons as players explore a bleeding cardboard world.

Several developers offered playable demos. Serafini Productions released a Steam demo for BrokenLore: Don’t Lie, a psychological horror spin-off planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Weird Beluga put a demo of Duskfade, a 3D action-adventure platformer, on Steam; Duskfade is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. ArtDock posted a console announcement for Hands Over, a first-person horror co-op card game coming to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.

The showcase presented a slate of cross-platform indie releases and demos with multiple titles confirmed for Xbox systems and cloud services. Several projects carry release dates later in 2026 while others are scheduled for 2027 or remain date TBD.
