Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains lands on PS5

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains launches on PS5 today for $29.99, offering team-based Monopoly with up to six-player couch co-op and online play requiring PlayStation Plus.

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is available today on the PlayStation Store for PS5 at $29.99. Behaviour Interactive developed the game and Ubisoft published it as a digital release.

The title adapts Monopoly into a team-focused competition. Players form teams of up to three characters drawn from a roster of Star Wars heroes and villains, with each character granting a unique in-game ability.

Teams move across board spaces based on Star Wars planets and locations. Matches require cooperative tactics as teammates use character powers and board effects to gain and hold control.

Local couch co-op supports up to six players on a single PS5 console. Online multiplayer is available for remote matches; online access requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

The game’s PlayStation Store description reads: “Assemble your team, build your roster of iconic Star Wars characters, and battle with your friends and family for control of the galaxy as you move across storied planets and locations.”

The release combines traditional Monopoly mechanics with licensed Star Wars characters and team-based play. The digital version is listed at $29.99 on the PS5 PlayStation Store.

The PlayStation Store also lists other Star Wars titles for PS5 this year. Star Wars Zero Company, co-developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment and set during the Clone Wars, is scheduled for August 27 and is available to preorder. Star Wars Galactic Racer, which includes podracing and arcade-style racing, is scheduled for October 6 and is available to preorder.
