Monster Hunter Wilds Sells 1.32M, Trails Rise and Sunbreak

Capcom reported that Monster Hunter Wilds sold 1.32 million copies in its fiscal 2026 year, trailing Monster Hunter Rise, which sold 1.51 million units, and the Sunbreak expansion for Rise, which moved 1.42 million units during the same 12-month reporting period.

The figures appear in Capcom’s fiscal 2026 sales disclosure, which breaks down unit totals across the company’s titles for the 12-month reporting period. Wilds has reached more than 11.4 million copies sold since its February 2025 launch, but full-year sales declined after an initial surge around that release. Capcom’s presentation slide shows Wilds underperformed relative to Rise and the Sunbreak DLC in the comparable fiscal window.

Capcom wrote that it has a “large-scale expansion” in development for Wilds and indicated more details will be released in the coming months. The company did not provide a release window or explain how the expansion will affect the slower sales trend.

Capcom’s consolidated report provided the comparative unit totals but did not include commentary on promotional strategies or long-term sales forecasts for Wilds. The company is expected to publish further updates as it prepares to roll out additional content.
