Digital Sun released Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault on the PlayStation Store for PS5 on Sept. 2, 2026. A free demo is available on the PlayStation Store. The game is available on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. The PlayStation Store lists the base game at $29.99 and a Zen Patio Pack cosmetic add-on for $4.99. Steam is offering a 30% launch discount. PlayStation Store user ratings average 4.14 out of 5 stars.
Moonlighter 2 continues the shopkeeping and dungeon-exploration loop of the 2018 original. Players control Will, a merchant and adventurer who must rebuild his fortune after being stranded in the village of Tresna. The core gameplay cycle involves exploring dungeons, looting relics, selling items in the shop and reinvesting proceeds into the town.
The release adds new weapons and armor and a combat ability called the Bomb Path, which causes enemies to explode after taking sufficient hits and to damage nearby foes. The shop reaches a final upgrade level that unlocks extra Bloblet slots, new cosmetic options and additional shop-focused rewards. An Infinite Endless Vault mode provides post-game, repeatable challenges.
Moonlighter 2 includes a Hardcore mode that permits completion of the game on the highest difficulty. During development the title received two major content updates: Greed and Glory, which added the HEX combat path, Blo-Blitz dual guns and a wave-based Greed Colosseum; and Blob-Life Balance, which introduced Bloblet shop companions, a stackable Poison Path, additional weapons and a Very Hard difficulty tier.
A launch trailer was released alongside the store availability to showcase the game’s new features and gameplay.
