Mouse: P.I. for Hire sells 730,000, boosts PlayStack outlook

Mouse: P.I. for Hire has sold 730,000 copies since its launch last month, letting PlayStack recoup milestone, publishing and marketing costs and raise its fiscal 2026 revenue forecast.

Mouse: P.I. for Hire has sold 730,000 copies since its launch last month, PlayStack said. Sales are split roughly evenly between consoles and PC, and about three million users have the game on their wishlists.

PlayStack reported the game has covered milestone payments, publishing fees and marketing costs tied to its agreement with developer Fumi. The publisher said the deal included staged milestone payments that are now recouped.

The company said the stronger-than-expected start allowed it to raise its revenue forecast for the fiscal year ending 2026. PlayStack did not disclose the size of the increase.

PlayStack chief Benn Skender described the game’s performance as “really pleasing and reflects the strength of the IP, the quality and persistence of effort from all teams, and the depth of player and social engagement we are seeing across every platform.”

PlayStack highlighted the three million wishlists as a potential source of further sales through platform promotions and discounts. The roughly 50-50 split between consoles and PC indicates uptake across both market segments.

A recent PS5 review rated the game 8 out of 10, citing its art and animation and describing its combat as enjoyable first-person shootouts in a rubberhose-inspired visual style.

Investors will watch upcoming sales figures and platform breakdowns for more detail on PlayStack’s broader financial outlook.
