Mr. Karate Joins FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves
Mr. Karate joins FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as a Season Pass 2 DLC, adding Kyokugen Karate and Art of Fighting mechanics to the roster.
SNK confirmed that Mr. Karate will be included as a Season Pass 2 DLC character for FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. He is one of six fighters planned for Season Pass 2, with one character released each month.
Season Pass 2 pairs Mr. Karate with previously announced additions Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser and Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. Two character slots listed for May and June 2026 remain unannounced. The base game is available in Standard and Legend Editions; the Legend Edition bundles the base game with Season Pass 1 and Season Pass 2. Season Pass 1 is also sold separately and included Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, Mr. Big and guest characters Ken and Chun‑Li.
SNK said Mr. Karate’s design restores Kyokugen Karate and classic Art of Fighting mechanics such as Razz and Spirit Charge while integrating inputs tied to the game’s REV system. His kit includes a range of special moves and stance options that interact with REV-specific properties.
Among the listed techniques is Ryuugeki Ken, a forward projectile with light and heavy variants; the heavy version can be charged into Haou Shoukou Ken. Several heavy, REV and charged versions of attacks can be canceled on hit into Dragon Burst, a follow-up useful for extending combos and closing distance. Hien Shippuu Kyaku is an energy‑charged flying kick whose light version launches opponents on counter hit.
Ryuuga is a rising uppercut that functions as an anti‑air and can be held to perform Kyokugen Ryuga, a powered form with additional hits. Gen’ei Kyaku is a rapid flurry of kicks that chains from heavy attacks and, in REV form, can link into multiple REV special moves via REV Accel.
Drago Supremo is described as a stance that absorbs attacks and opens several follow-up options, including a slip and a powerful heel drop. Ryuuko Ranbu is an advancing secret art with startup invincibility that can finish combos or bypass projectiles. SNK also noted that braking certain moves creates additional follow-ups and advised players to experiment with timing to improve conversions.
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves uses the REV system as a core combat layer and offers two control schemes intended to suit both new and veteran fighting‑game players. The game is available now.
