Mycopunk confirmed as day-one PS Plus Extra title

Sony confirmed during dual PlayStation State of Play events that Mycopunk will be added day one to PS Plus Extra and Premium when it debuts on PlayStation platforms in October 2026.

Mycopunk is described as a four-player cooperative “hyper-customizable mission-based looter shooter.” The premise describes the New Atlas Hazard Crew, a squad of robots with unique gadgets, on missions to eliminate a spreading fungal threat across the galaxy.

The game first launched on Steam in early access in July 2025 and earned a “Very Positive” rating based on nearly 3,000 user reviews.

Separately, the company listed three PS Plus Premium classics slated for release later in 2026: Mega Man X: Command Mission (PS2), Dino Crisis 2 (PS1) and Ratchet & Clank (PS2). Sony did not specify exact months for these additions. Each title will be available to play on PS5 and PS4 and will be offered for separate purchase through the PlayStation Store.

PS Plus Extra is the mid-tier subscription that provides an expanded catalog of downloadable games. PS Plus Premium includes the Extra catalog plus access to legacy console classics and other benefits tied to older PlayStation generations.

The company noted that adding selected new releases to Extra and Premium on day one depends on publishing arrangements and agreements.
