NBA The Run, a 3v3 online street basketball game from creators of NBA Street, launches on Xbox Series X and Series S on June 9, 2026. It costs $29.99 and includes crossplay.
NBA The Run will launch on Xbox Series X and Series S on June 9, 2026. The game is a 3v3 online street basketball title from a new studio. The standard edition is priced at $29.99 at launch.
The game centers on fast, arcade-style pick-up basketball. Players can take licensed NBA stars to stylized streetball courts, perform dunks and signature dribble moves, and compete in ranked and casual matches.
The developer describes NBA The Run as an online-first experience built around quick matches and highlight plays. Modes listed by the developer include Solos for one-player play and Squads for team-based 3v3 matches. In-game progression is tied to match wins and cosmetic unlocks. A single-player component is included.
NBA The Run supports online crossplay between Xbox Series X and Series S players and uses rollback netcode to reduce lag and improve responsiveness during fast exchanges.
Two editions will be available on the Xbox storefront. The standard edition costs $29.99. The Deluxe Edition costs $39.99 and adds three rookie player variants and additional in-game bonuses. The title will be distributed digitally.
The game’s creative director previously worked on all four of EA’s NBA Street titles. The studio described the project as a return to streetball fundamentals and added: ‘We’re taking it back to the streets. NBA THE RUN is a fast-paced, online 3v3 street basketball game, played above-the-rim and packed with posterizing moments, ankle-breaking tricks and a unique, signature style.’
