Report: New Uncharted for PS5; Simpsons Hit & Run Rumored

Jordan Middler told podcast listeners that a new Uncharted title is in development for PlayStation 5 and that Activision may be revisiting The Simpsons: Hit & Run.

Middler stated, “Obviously, a new Uncharted is coming. It’s on the way.” He added that several publishers are re-examining older franchises and licensed games as part of current release plans.

No studios, release dates or official confirmations were provided during the discussion. The report does not specify whether a revived Simpsons project would be a remake, remaster or a new entry.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run was developed by Radical Entertainment and first released on PlayStation 2 in 2003. The original combined open-world driving with mission-based objectives and has maintained fan interest for many years.

Uncharted grew into a major PlayStation franchise known for cinematic single-player design. The last main numbered Uncharted title arrived around ten years ago, with smaller spin-offs following later.

Neither Sony nor Activision has issued statements about either project. The claims rest on Middler’s remarks and remain unconfirmed. Reviving older games can involve licensing negotiations, finding available developers and technical work to adapt titles to modern hardware.
