Nintendo Direct rumors point to June 9, leakers say

Jeff Grubb and NateTheHate reported that a Nintendo Direct could air next week. Grubb named June 9 as a possible date, while NateTheHate said he had heard of a ‘general’ Direct. Nintendo has not announced any event.

Grubb first forecast a mid‑June presentation on a podcast and later specified June 9 on another episode. He indicated he did not know whether the event would be a standard Direct or a Partner Direct.

NateTheHate did not give a date, only reporting that a ‘general’ Direct would take place next week. Some of NateTheHate’s recent claims about next‑generation Switch hardware and a Star Fox announcement were later corroborated.

Both leakers have a record of accurate and inaccurate tips.

Nintendo has held at least one showcase in June each year since 2022. Formats have varied from short Mini Showcases to presentations focused on specific franchises or downloadable content. Most June showings have occurred in the third or fourth week of the month, though an earlier June event has occurred in past years, for example on June 11, 2019.

If a Direct appears next week it could include first‑party title updates, third‑party partner announcements, or both, depending on the presentation format. Grubb previously noted uncertainty about the format when he named June 9.

Until Nintendo posts confirmation on its official channels, release calendars remain unchanged and observers will monitor official feeds for any announcement.
