Nintendo Direct: KH4, new Final Fantasy and Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC

Nintendo’s June 2026 Direct included several PlayStation-focused announcements from major publishers. Square Enix and Capcom used the broadcast to present new PS5 projects and updates to a wide audience.

Square Enix released a new PS5 gameplay trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4. The footage showed in-engine gameplay and updated visuals. Alongside the trailer, Square Enix announced a PS5 collection that will include the complete Kingdom Hearts series.

The publisher also revealed an untitled Final Fantasy role-playing game being developed for PS5. Square Enix offered no release date, subtitle or detailed information about the game’s scope or development team.

Capcom confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will receive a major expansion called Dark Arisen on PS5. The company described the expansion as sizable and said it will launch in October; no exact day was given.

The Direct included other PlayStation-relevant listings, including a remaster of Tales of Eternia for PS5, a PlayStation release for Dragon Quest Monsters, and a reborn version of Muramasa scheduled for PS5 next year. Several enhanced versions and collections for PS5 were highlighted during the presentation.

Publishers have not yet provided full release windows or extensive gameplay details for many of the announced PS5 projects. Further information and launch dates are expected in separate updates from the respective developers and publishers.
