Nintendo launches EA Sports FC 26 trial for Switch Online

Nintendo has launched a time-limited trial of EA Sports FC 26 for subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The trial runs through June 24, 2026. Players who purchase the full game during the trial can transfer their save progress into the purchased version.

The trial lets players field a ‘dream squad’ in local and online multiplayer, play scenario-based challenges inspired by real-world events, and develop a professional player. The available modes include club matches, online multiplayer and player progression options.

Nintendo timed the trial to coincide with international football events in June 2026. Access requires an active Switch Online subscription.

Nintendo is running a digital sale for EA Sports FC 26 on both Switch systems with discounts up to 80% in select regions; that sale ends July 1, 2026. Trial participants can earn 100 Platinum Points as part of the promotion.

EA Sports FC 26 recently received the ‘The World’s Game Update’, which adds content focused on international football and is available during the trial. Separately, a paid title, eFootball Kick-Off!, launched on Switch 2 and has received a national team update.

The trial ends June 24, 2026, and the discounted sale concludes July 1, 2026. Players should ensure their Switch Online membership is active before those dates to access the trial and offers.
