Nintendo eShop: Yoshi, Coffee Talk Tokyo; Tales of ARISE May 22

North American eShop update May 21 adds Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and Coffee Talk Tokyo; Tales of ARISE – Beyond the Dawn Edition launches on Switch 2 May 22.

Nintendo’s North American eShop refresh on May 21 added new first-party, third-party and independent releases for the Switch family. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and Coffee Talk Tokyo arrived on May 21, and Tales of ARISE – Beyond the Dawn Edition is scheduled for May 22 on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, published by Nintendo for $59.99, casts Yoshi as the guide to a talking book named Mr. E. Players enter pages as distinct habitats to locate creatures and learn their traits and abilities through platforming and interactions.

Coffee Talk Tokyo, published by Chorus Worldwide Games at $14.99, places players in a Tokyo café where customers-human and fantasy-order drinks and share personal stories. The game uses beverage preparation and dialogue to structure short narrative scenes against a lo-fi soundtrack.

Tales of ARISE – Beyond the Dawn Edition from BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment is due May 22 for the Nintendo Switch 2 at $49.99. The package includes the original Tales of ARISE plus an additional scenario titled “Beyond the Dawn,” along with extra costumes and in-game items.

Other retail and retro releases also reached the eShop. Bubsy 4D from Atari appeared May 22 at $17.99. Arcade Archives 2 Mr. Do! from Hamster released May 15 at $9.99 and includes an early “OLDEST version” of the 1982 arcade title. ININ Games’ R-Type Dimensions III arrived May 19 at $34.99. Clear River Games published a modern remake of Jaleco’s Formation Z on May 21 at $26.99. Limited Run Games released the Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection on May 22 at $19.99.

A range of smaller and indie titles also published this update. Releases include the space-station strategy Alexandria IV (Time Galleon, May 20, $12.99), the free-to-play deckbuilding roguelite Bag Fight (QubicGames, May 22), the historical romance Birushana: Winds of Fate (Idea Factory, May 26, $39.99), and the two-player co-op platformer GooNECT√2 (Phoenixx, May 21, $15.99). Classic and niche ports included LAYDOCK 2 for MSX2+ (D4 Enterprise, May 21, $6.49). Other new listings cover survival, puzzle and action genres with titles such as Rails of Dead: Zombie Survival Simulator (May 21, $13.99) and Roadtrip Ruckus: RV Survival Crew (DubassGames, May 20, $2.99).
