Nintendo Music Adds 29-Track Yoshi (1991) Soundtrack

Nintendo Music added a 29-track, roughly 40-minute soundtrack from the 1991 Game Freak puzzle game Yoshi, with 18 Game Boy tracks and 11 NES tracks in the latest app update.

Nintendo has added the Yoshi (1991) soundtrack to its Nintendo Music app in the service’s latest update. The upload includes 29 tracks with a total runtime of about 40 minutes and is available now in the iOS and Android app stores.

The release splits the collection between the two platform versions of the game: 18 tracks from the Game Boy edition and 11 tracks from the NES edition. The update does not include any new curated playlists tied to the Yoshi release.

Listeners can use the app’s Extended-Playback Collection to play select tracks on a seamless loop for longer listening sessions. Nintendo launched the mobile app in October 2024 and has been adding soundtracks from its catalog since then.

Yoshi is a 1991 puzzle game developed by Game Freak that was released on Game Boy and later on NES. The soundtrack addition follows previous uploads of older and retro game scores to the Nintendo Music service.

The Yoshi soundtrack is available to download or stream in the Nintendo Music app for Nintendo Switch Online members on iOS and Android.
