Nintendo Music adds original GameCube Pikmin soundtrack
Nintendo Music added the original 2001 GameCube Pikmin soundtrack-33 tracks by Hajime Wakai, about one hour-for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
Nintendo added the original Pikmin (GameCube) soundtrack to the Nintendo Music app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers on May 29, 2026. The release contains 33 tracks composed by Hajime Wakai and runs about one hour.
Subscribers must have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to stream the album through the Nintendo Music app on their consoles. The music comes from the first Pikmin game, released for GameCube in 2001 and 2002.
The collection includes the opening theme “Pikmin Title Screen” and tracks such as “They Carry, Fight, Multiply and Get Eaten”, “The Forest of Hope”, “A Boss Approaches”, “Life as a Pikmin” and “The Final Boss”. The full tracklist totals 33 entries.
Hajime Wakai is credited as the composer. His credits include music across the Pikmin series and contributions to other Nintendo series, including The Legend of Zelda and Star Fox.
Nintendo already provides the Pikmin 4 soundtrack on the same service. The original Pikmin game is available on Nintendo Switch and is listed as supported on the Switch 2 hardware, but it is not part of the Switch 2 “Nintendo Classics” GameCube library.
Subscribers can stream the GameCube Pikmin score immediately through the Nintendo Music app while their Switch Online subscription remains active.
