Nintendo will present a stand-alone Splatoon Raiders Direct on June 30 and release a blue-and-yellow Joy-Con colorway when the game launches on July 23. The company showed additional Raiders gameplay during its regular Direct and noted that further details will arrive with the dedicated presentation.
During the regular Direct, Nintendo displayed gameplay that resembles the Salmon Run cooperative mode from earlier Splatoon titles. The company confirmed the separate Raiders-focused Direct for June 30 and plans to share information about the game’s modes, features and release schedule.
The blue-and-yellow Joy-Con colorway will be available on July 23, the same day Splatoon Raiders reaches retail and digital storefronts. Nintendo listed the controller as an additional product release tied to the game’s launch.
Ahead of launch, Nintendo will publish a series of Raiders comics on its Nintendo Today website. Those comics will appear sporadically before July 23.
Nintendo also scheduled a Raiders-themed Splatfest from July 10 to July 12. Splatoon Raiders is part of the Splatoon series, which centers on ink-based combat and includes cooperative modes such as Salmon Run.
