Nintendo posts Star Fox Switch 2 gameplay and screenshots
Nintendo posted new gameplay clips and screenshots for Star Fox on its Japanese website ahead of the game’s Switch 2 launch next month.
Nintendo published new screenshots and short gameplay clips for Star Fox on its official Japanese website this week. The material previews an updated version of the 1997 Nintendo 64 title ahead of the game’s launch on the Switch 2 next month.
The footage shows Fox McCloud and his squad flying through the Lylat system with refreshed visuals. Clips include Arwing aerial combat and on-foot segments that mirror the original game’s rail-shooter and ground sections. Several levels and set pieces from the 1997 release appear with the Switch 2’s graphical upgrades.
Nintendo posted the clips and a gallery of still images on its Japan site, where viewers can watch short gameplay segments and inspect multiple in-game screenshots. The uploads arrive roughly a month before the game’s scheduled release on the Switch 2.
Pre-orders are available on the Nintendo eShop. The digital edition is listed at $49.99 in the United States and £41.99 in the United Kingdom. Nintendo also revealed the game’s physical box art and an estimated file size on the same site.
The game’s story returns to the series’ original conflict: Fox and his team must defend the Lylat system from the scientist Andross. Nintendo has been releasing information and visuals for the title in stages since its announcement, and the latest assets expand the official materials available to players.
