Nintendo issues Switch 2 compatibility fixes, lists unsupported
Nintendo released Switch 2 compatibility updates for several games, including Dragon Quest Builders, Monster Hunter Stories and Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and published a list of unsupported titles.
Nintendo posted a new set of Switch 2 compatibility updates on its official backwards compatibility page, covering fixes for several older Switch titles and an updated list of games the company currently considers unsupported on the new hardware.
The update names Dragon Quest Builders: Buddy Collection, Laysara: Summit Kingdom, Monster Hunter Stories, Neon Inferno, Overcooked! All You Can Eat, This Is Fine: Maximum Cope, Top Cop – Police Training and Wolfenstein: Youngblood as having received compatibility fixes. Nintendo’s notes indicate the patches address gameplay and performance faults that affected how those games run on Switch 2.
Nintendo’s updated list marks several games as unsupported because of issues that can affect play or progression. The company identifies progression problems with Ghost Master: Resurrection’s downloadable content, slowdown issues with Grandia HD Collection and audio problems in Resident Evil 5. Attack On Titan 2, Crypt Carnage, Megadimension Neptunia VII and Truck Simulator USA are listed as unsupported because they can block game progression.
The backwards compatibility page will be updated as developers issue patches or as Nintendo reassesses a title’s status. The page is the company’s primary reference for current compatibility notes, including any official guidance on workarounds and planned fixes.
Nintendo has maintained the compatibility tracker since the Switch 2 launched in June to record which legacy games run normally, which require fixes and which remain unsupported. Players experiencing problems on Switch 2 are advised to consult the official page for the latest information.
