Nintendo rolls out Switch 2 fixes; four games unsupported

Nintendo issued a compatibility update for Switch 2 that restores Dragon Quest Builders and Overcooked: All You Can Eat while four Switch titles remain incompatible.

Nintendo issued a new Switch 2 compatibility update and reported that several titles which previously failed to run on the new hardware are now restored. The company has worked with third-party developers and applied platform-side adjustments to improve game compatibility on the Switch 2.

Nintendo’s compatibility post listed games fixed after developer or platform changes. Fixed titles named in the update include Buddy Collection if, Dragon Quest Builders, Laysara: Summit Kingdom, Monster Hunter Stories, Neon Inferno, Overcooked: All You Can Eat, This is Fine: Maximum Cope, Top Cop: Police Training and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

The post also flagged several titles with remaining, feature-specific problems. Ghost Master: Resurrection exhibits progression issues within the Walls of Judgment downloadable content. Grandia HD Collection may experience slowdown in some areas. Resident Evil 5 can have audio problems in certain sections of the game.

Nintendo confirmed four Switch games remain fully unsupported on the Switch 2: Attack on Titan 2, Crypt Carnage, Megadimension Neptunia 7 and Truck Simulator USA. Those titles are listed as incompatible until publishers or Nintendo implement fixes or further testing changes their status.

The compatibility updates are part of ongoing work by Nintendo and third-party developers to track and address issues between the original Switch library and the Switch 2 hardware. Future compatibility posts will add fixes or clarify outstanding issues as developers release patches or testing identifies new problems.
